You might know I'm not a fan of social media. I'll give you a little backstory, if you're interested. Feel free to skip ahead, though! I'll leave the important stuff in the last paragraph. (Important might be a strong word.)

My pops works in IT, so our house was always on the cutting-edge of new tech, which included things like the Internet and Netflix. Brand new games consoles were few and far between, as much more prioritized were our computers. I've had a "Gaming" PC since I was around seven years old. My first operating system was Windows XP and my favorite games of that era were things like Petz 5 and Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. I joined up on Webkinz in 2007! I was a huge gamer, one could say.

I had pretty much free reign on the web from a young age, which would be much more inadvisable in this day and age, though for me back then, I think it was all fairly tame stuff I came across. My favorite haunts were places like Nick.com and whatnot. Places with little browser games, you know.

Once FaceBook came onto the scene, I was there before adults flooded the place, and it was actually kind of fun, with games like Café World and FarmVille. I could poke my friends and they'd poke me back. My Ma would make fun of one of my aunt's spelling abilities. They were good times, really.

Honestly, I'm not a socially adept person. It's one of the reasons my YouTube channel is permanently No-Commentary. So social media meant very little to me, especially after my childhood buddies moved away and we never kept in touch. (Miss you still, Sam, even though you were pretty rude that day! Hope you're well at your teaching job!) All social media has ever done for me is provide a way to read the unfiltered thoughts of strangers. Kind of unhealthy; I much prefer keeping my internet browsing fun and simple!

The only "Social" sites I frequent are what you'd call Virtual Pet sites. If you find me on one, say hi! I won't say which I'm on, do your best to figure me out, if you want to! The code word for the blog is "Origami". Each of the sites I'm on also has a code word to use somewhere in it! If you get all 4 (including this one)... I'll answer one question about anything, as long as it's not too personal! I will be really suprised if anyone is able to find them all, though all three accounts have at least one thing in common with my YouTube channel. When you find me, you'll know! If you happen to find an old account of mine that I don't use anymore, maybe through google or other such means, I won't be able to reply. Remember, Pet Sites only, with recent posts from me! That's where I will play this silly game. The most difficult to find site is linked in a more popular one, so that should be helpful. Though the code word might not be!

This blog is a simple way for me to get out my thoughts that are longer than can fit in an Animal Crossing letter. Plus a way for me to learn a little HTML, which seems pretty similar to BBCode, now that I'm looking at it! So, thanks for checking in on me, and I hope you'll have a relaxed time in this little corner of the Web. I'll be updating at least once a week! Love y'all!
