Happy Tuesday! I imagine many of you out there don't really get a restful day until the weekend, though all the same I wish you a pleasant day. As for me, things are not especially structured (its own kind of stressful), so any day can be a break day.
My gaming has not significantly changed since last week, which shouldn't surprise you, I hope. Tears of the Kingdom is a long experience, if you wish it so (and I do). I will say I have made much progress, though I think I underestimated the Rupee-cost aspect of this challenge of upgrading all the clothes, so I think I'll curb my enthusiasm a bit and only fully finish my favorite sets while the rest can be considered done after two upgrades. This still means all shrines (for my favorite armor) and plenty of gleeok fights!
I've taken some breaks from the game, of course, to get actual work done and to read instead; taking breaks from my breaks. I've been known to live too deeply in games since I was young, having once spent a full 8 hours of a day in Don't Starve one summer a long while ago. This was during a taxing time on my family, so perhaps I should forgive myself, by now. I have better coping skills, regardless. And at least my gaming habits led me to my YT channel!
Setting my dubious time management skills aside, I suppose I ought to confess a non-serious thing. The real reason I started playing TotK again. You might have guessed it was because of my renewed interest in Ocarina of Time Randomizer, and you'd be right, though really, it was due to watching a blind playthrough of Ocarina of Time (from a true novice to Zelda and videogames in general). I want to give proper credit to this relatively small channel even if he has little to do with my own content (100% playthroughs are sort of the antithesis to Blind Playthroughs, aren't they?), lil indigestion. I don't know him personally, I merely find his confusion entertaining. His reactions to Zelda and other games are a breath of fresh air, and often very funny. If you don't mind watching someone try a very stupid-seeming solution to puzzles very familiar to you, give him a shot, he seems like a decent guy. It's fun playing TotK alongside him.
As much as I may criticize myself for getting carried away from more important engagements, ultimately, I trust myself to get things done, even if not to as high a standard as I may have hoped for. And restful times are sometimes just what I need to get back to what I really want to work on.
Wild World is coming to an end in about seven weeks, and in the interim while I wait to get the rest of my hobby-money from YT for a 3DS capture card, I'll likely play a lot more unfinished series. So, thank you for sticking with me through a game that may or may not have interested you. I know my quiet company has made many people happy over these years, as I've seen in a number of special comments. Thank you, with all my being, thank you.
I'll talk to you all again soon!
